Albatross Tax are a fully registered HMRC agent and can provide a variety of services with HMRC for you. As we approach the 2022/23 tax return deadline, we discuss the advantages of using Albatross Tax to assist you.
We consider what being tax resident in the Falkland Islands means, and why it matters to you whether you're tax resident or not!
Albatross Tax is pleased to announce it has begun to offer some of its services via online sales!
Currently we offer two services via online sales, personal returns for either non-residents or employed residents (for tax purposes). We will look to expand our portfolio of online sales in the future.
Remember if you’re outside of these two services, we can still help. Albatross Tax is always able to help with your tax affairs! You just need to contact us for further details.
The service has launched today with little fanfare, and we hope that our customers will appreciate the price certainty on these products.
I’ve been quiet on this blog as we look to build our business and prepare the website and work with our clients, however we will be looking to increase our blog and social media presence in the coming weeks. We don’t aim to inundate anyone with endless posts, but certainly we will be upping our content.
You may notice a new “Guides” section, we’ve begun to offer these free of charge for those just finding their feet with the Falkland Islands tax regime. Guides will be added to as time allows and where we feel there is a gap that needs filling!
Albatross Tax has launched its website!
New sections and features will be launching over time, including guides and FAQs. Please follow us on social media for all the latest updates.
Happy new year to you all! Aside from the festivities and merriment, it's also time to take stock on your tax obligations.
The Falkland Islands tax year is a calendar year, so not only is it time to organise your personal taxes in preparation for the inevitable tax returns but also time to plan the coming year.
Thinking of expanding or making a major purchase? Starting something new? It's always worth considering tax at the start to avoid any nasty surprises and to ensure any tax reliefs are claimed in the right manner.
It's also the first year of Albatross Tax! I left the tax office in December, and after a Christmas break, it's time to get going. I've plenty to say on the subject of tax, this blog will look to provide my views, advice and news on FI tax, as well as anything else that springs to mind.
My best wishes to you all, and let's all make 2023 the first of many great years!
